What FLUX.2 does
- Makes an image from a prompt.
- Edits an image you give it from a prompt: change the light, the clothes, the setting.
- Combines several images into one: put a product into a scene, or swap one object for another.
- Makes 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 3:2, 2:3 and 21:9 images, at 1K and 2K.
Fix one part of an image
Paint a mask over the part you want to change in the Root app. By API or from Claude and ChatGPT, send the picture as a reference image and a mask you already have as a mask file.

No. On Root FLUX.2 goes up to 2K. For a bigger file, upscale the finished image.

Yes. Give it a base image and say what to change, or add reference images to combine subjects or swap one object for another.
What are FLUX.1 Fill and FLUX Erase?
Tools for one part of an image. Paint a mask over the part, then FLUX.1 Fill draws what your prompt describes there, and FLUX Erase removes it and fills in the background, with no prompt needed. Fill is $0.06 an image.
Is FLUX.2 the same as FLUX 3?
No. On Root, FLUX.2 makes still images and FLUX 3 is a video model that can make clips with sound.
