Which to pick
- Long takes: Seedance 2.5, up to 30 seconds in one go.
- Many references in one shot: Seedance 2.5, up to 30 images, or Kling Omni, with no stated limit.
- 4K: Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Kling Omni.
- Cheapest five-second clip: Kling 2.5 Turbo, at $0.25, without sound.
We use Seedance 2.0 Mini for basic look development, and move to 2.5 once the shot is locked.
We reach for Kling 3.0 when a shot needs believable weight and motion, and when another model refuses a subject it shouldn't.
Kling Motion Control, which puts a performance you filmed onto a character, is on the Kling page. More on each: Seedance and Kling.

Use both: Root runs them from one balance. Seedance 2.5 makes the longest clips, up to 30 seconds, and Seedance 2.5 takes up to 30 reference images (Kling Omni also takes references, with no stated limit). For 4K, use Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0 and Kling Omni. In our own studio: we use Seedance 2.0 Mini for basic look development, and move to 2.5 once the shot is locked. We reach for Kling 3.0 when a shot needs believable weight and motion, and when another model refuses a subject it shouldn't.
Which is cheaper, Seedance or Kling?
For a five-second 720p clip, Kling 2.5 Turbo is the cheapest on Root, at $0.25, without sound. The table shows every price side by side, and the app shows the price before each run.
Which makes longer clips?
Seedance 2.5 makes clips up to 30 seconds, and Kling Omni up to 15 seconds, in one generation. Kling Motion Control runs up to 30 seconds, but it copies a performance from a video you give it. Longer scenes are several clips cut together on Root's timeline.

Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0 and Kling Omni.
Can I use Seedance and Kling in the same project?
