Yes, once you connect Root. OpenAI closed its Sora app on 26 April 2026 and the Sora API on 24 September 2026. With Root added to ChatGPT, you ask for a clip in the chat and Root makes it with Seedance, Kling, Veo or another model, then saves it to your project.

Connect Root to ChatGPT
You need a Root account and a paid ChatGPT plan. Then, in ChatGPT on the web, add Root with this address: https://root.film/api/mcp
- Step 1. Open ChatGPT in a web browser. This does not work in the phone app.
- Step 2. Click your name, then Settings, then Security and login.
- Step 3. Turn on Developer mode.
- Step 4. In Settings, open Apps. On some accounts this is called Plugins or Connectors.
- Step 5. Press the plus button or Create.
- Step 6. Type Root as the name, paste the Root address as the server URL, and choose OAuth for sign-in.
- Step 7. Press Create. A Root sign-in page opens. Sign in, then press Allow.
- Step 8. Start a new chat. Press the plus button, choose Developer mode, and pick Root.
