Kling 2.6 and Kling 2.5 Turbo also make vertical clips; the app shows their price before you run. “Up to” is the most it can cost; you are charged what the model reports it used. Prices marked “about” are for work that runs on Root's own machines: the price shown before the run is an estimate, and the bill is set by how long the run really takes.

Getting the vertical shape right

  • Choose 9:16 in the model's ratio setting before you run it.
  • Starting from an image? Make the image vertical first. The four Seedance models and MiniMax H3 (Hailuo 3.0) keep the shape of the first frame whatever ratio you pick.
  • Many of Root's image models make 9:16 stills too, such as Nano Banana Pro, Nano Banana or GPT Image 2, so the first frame can be vertical from the start.
  • Keep the subject in the middle of the frame, clear of the edges, where the app you post to puts its buttons and captions.
  • Ask for the sound you want in the prompt: the line spoken, the music, the noise of the place.

Which AI video models make vertical video?

On Root, every model in the table above, and Kling 2.6 and Kling 2.5 Turbo too. Choose 9:16 before you run the clip.

How long can an AI TikTok video be?

Seedance 2.5 makes vertical clips up to 30 seconds in one take, long enough for a whole short. The others top out between 8 and 20 seconds.
