Edit

Edit is the timeline. Add your takes to it in order, trim the ends, add sound and titles, and export one finished video.

It is deliberately simple. It is not trying to replace a full editing program. It is here so you can cut your film without exporting every clip by hand first.

1. Open Edit. Clips lists every finished take; press + Video on one to add it to the video track, or + Audio to put its sound on the audio track.
2. Drag a clip to move it, and drag its right edge to trim it. Split cuts the selected clip at the playhead.
3. Press Title to add a title at the playhead. It goes on the Titles track.
4. To blend into a clip, select it and set Transition to crossfade, with its length in seconds. The first clip can't have one.
5. Choose the Output size, then press Export. Exporting a timeline is free, which the bar shows as Free.

When the render finishes, the button shows Exported and Download saves the file. The result is also added to Shots, under Final Cut.

The filters above Clips narrow it to Approved, Selects or Rejected takes, and Show all clears the filter. You can also drag a file from your computer straight onto a track.

With an audio clip selected, Gain sets its volume. Delete removes the selected clip. The arrow buttons undo and redo, also with Ctrl or Cmd and Z. The edit belongs to the project, so you can come back to it.

Your edit saves as you go. If you have it open in two tabs, the one working from an out-of-date copy is refused rather than allowed to overwrite newer work. It reloads the newer edit and asks you to make your last change again.
