Where things are
Where each part of the app sits on the screen, page by page.
The left rail runs down the left edge of every page. From the top it holds the Root logo, which goes to Projects, then Explore, Projects, Models, Prompt templates, Community, Billing, Plugins, Feature requests and Tutorials.
At the bottom of the rail are AI support, Support chat, Enterprise Support and Settings. The rail shows its labels when you point at it.
Inside a film, the film's sidebar is the column next to the rail. It starts with All projects and the film's name, then Shots, Graph, Apps, Create, Assets, Voice/Music, Models, 3D Scene, Edit, Provenance and Access. On a narrow screen it is hidden.
Shots shows one sequence at a time, picked at the top of the page. Each shot lists its takes. Click a take to open the take viewer, which covers the whole page.
In the take viewer the picture or clip is on the left and its details are on the right. Esc or the X closes it.
- Under the prompt, the take viewer's buttons are, in order: Download shot + provenance, then Media only, or a JPEG or PNG download for a still.
- Then Save to General assets, Approve, the review status, and Edit / Inpaint for a finished image.
- Then the transform menu, Color / Grade, Hide from list, and Use as starting frame → Video for a finished image.
The Graph has three columns. The node palette is the left column, the canvas is in the middle and the Inspector is the right column. The shot and graph pickers are in the strip at the top.
To add a node, use the palette on the left, or press Tab or right-click an empty part of the canvas to search for one. Right-click a node for its own menu.
A Reference node's pictures are chosen in the Inspector, on the right, once the node is selected. Its Reference images list has an upload button, this shot's images and a Rest of the project list.
Below that come Training images, Uploaded videos, Uploaded audio and Generated takes, each with its own Rest of the project list. The Graph has no separate Assets panel.
Assets lists folders: General first, then one folder per shot, then Unassigned. It holds your uploads, not generated takes, which stay on Shots. Re-angle worlds, 3D meshes and Music come after the folders.
Create is a single column with two tabs, Image / Video and Voice/Music. The Create button on the Shots page opens the same panel as a drawer.
