Image Gen node

Image Gen makes a picture. You describe what you want, choose a model, and press Run. The picture becomes the node's output and can feed anything downstream.

You can also give it pictures to work from. Wire a Reference node into init to start from an existing image, into ref to keep a subject consistent, or into style to borrow a look.

1. Add an Image Gen node and click it to open the Inspector.
2. Pick a model from the list. Each one shows its price.
3. Write your prompt. Say what is in the shot, then how it is shot and lit.
4. Wire in any references you want it to follow.
5. Press Run.

Seed, empty by default, picks a random result; type a number to repeat one. Some models add Duration (s), Aspect ratio and Quality. On a model that composes by region, Regional composition replaces the prompt box, so you lay out where things go.

The Seedream models add Seedream options. Split into layers turns one picture into a base plus separate transparent layers. Generate a related set makes several matching pictures in one run, as many as Images in the set.

Transparent background gives a PNG with no background, from one wired picture that already has one. Format picks the file type, Speed is Standard or Fast, and Mark where to edit marks the spots on a wired picture to change.

Every run makes a take. Takes stack up on the node, so you can try the same prompt several times and pick the best one later. Nothing is overwritten.

Credits are held when the run starts and only spent if it succeeds. A failed run costs you nothing and the hold is released automatically. The one exception is a Runway model whose content filter rejects what you sent — the prompt or a reference image. Runway charges us for those and does not refund it, so they are charged to you.
